REVIEWS

“Michelle Alves as the Leading Player deserves a word of praise. Her background and experience in acting both on and off Broadway is palpable when she is taking center stage. She acts as the captain of the Storytelling ship, and the other actors match her energy and enthusiasm throughout the performance. Her character goes through a mental breakdown of sorts going into Act 2, and her subtle change in demeanor over the course of the show is haunting and beautiful to watch."— Central Florida Musical Theater

"Chicago is one of those musicals that needs a good amount of seediness and slinking to work well, and this production sets that tone right away with Michelle Alves as Velma Kelly. Alves commands the stage in 'All That Jazz', establishing herself as the grand dame of cabaret with the vocal and dance skills to slay all day [...] Add to that her outstanding singing voice, and limitless flexibility and you almost worry that she's going to upstage her co-stars at every turn."— BroadwayWorld, Rhode Island

“The strongest moments in the show came from Michelle Alves’ Anita who displayed tremendous range and refreshing honesty. She seemed authentic and was brilliant in both the 'A boy like that' and Rape at Doc’s Drugstore scenes. She approached the material with sense of 'real' and was riveting. Her playfulness and sense of humor in the lighter scenes helped to lift them, without wandering over into’ situation comedy land."— BroadwayWorld, Los Angeles
